In the infant classroom, we had a wonderful Tree Day. We explored lots of the trees on the school grounds. On our trip around the school, we discovered that some trees don’t lose their leaves in winter. These trees are called evergreen trees. They are called evergreen because their leaves stay green all year round.

When we returned to class, we did some beautiful leaf rubbings. We used the leaves we found outside and we borrowed some leaves from the bigger classes. They had been to Curraghchase and had collected some huge leaves.

Tree Day was lots of fun. We can’t wait for next year!
