Tús maith, leath na hoibre! On Tuesday 26th September, we gathered as a school community to begin the academic year in a formal way. The Start of Year Mass was celebrated by Fr Crawford in Halla Tí na Samhlaíochta at 1pm, to a full house. Prayers and Readings were carried out by the boys and girls from 1st to 6th classes and were accompanied by Mr Séamus Lehane on guitar and the choir of volunteer pupils. With a number of new songs in their repertoire, this group of children received much praise from all present. We thank them for their commitment and enthusiasm in this regard.

The theme of the Mass was helping others and we prayed for children all over the world who are no as lucky as we are. We remembered those who have been affected by hurricanes, war and earthquake. We also asked the Lord for help for ourselves for the year ahead both personally and academically. We prayer that the Lord hears our requests.
