St. Fergus’ National School welcome Fire Station Officers today. What an important job they do for the communities around Ireland.

Here is St Fergus’ N.S. we love a visit from people in the local community-especially those who help us. On Friday 25th May we welcomed members of the Foynes Fire Service. The officers showed us how they work the all the apparatus in the Fire Engine “DENNIS” and how they use the “Jaws of Life” to extract someone trapped in a car.

Before they left we were treated to a water display from the hoses used to put out the fire. Before they left, each pupil received a Fire Safety Pack to take home.
