Our theme for October was Autumn/Halloween.  It was a busy month, that got spookier towards the end.  We read lots of stories including, We’re Going on a Leaf Hunt, Percy the Park Keeper, Winnie the Witch and The Biggest Pumpkin Ever.  Below is a selection of photos of us busy at work.

Aistear:

Our learning through play stations included making witches slime, Hallloween dress up, drawing a haunted house and lots of playdough mats.  Great fun was had by all.  Take a look!

We’re Going on a Leaf Hunt:

After reading this fabulous book, students went on their very own leaf hunt around the school.  In pairs, they were given 26 Autumn leaves with the letters of the alphabet.  Students had to hunt for the letters and colour them accordingly.  There was great excitement!
