Aistear in the Infant Classroom

Aistear

Aistear is a curriculum framework for children up to the age of six years. It helps children to learn through everyday activities and routines. In particular it focuses on the importance of play for your child’s learning and development. In our infant classroom, we have several dedicated areas where the children play in groups each day. These areas include: the building area, the small world area, the reading area, the jigsaw area, the puppet area, the home area, the role play area, the creative area, the school area and the office area to name but a few. During the year, the children get the opportunity to play at a variety of areas where there is a focus on social skills, language development and lots more.

Pictured below are some photos of our Infants taking part in Aistear.
